
Landscape Architect Steve Martino has earned an international reputation for design excellence. His efforts are based on his intimate understanding of the region and on the underlying theme of man’s relationship to the desert environment.
Steve’s projects have been recognized with over 100 local, regional and national design awards, including nine National Design Awards from the American Society of Landscape Architects. His work has been published nationally and internationally in over 360 books and periodicals. He was the first landscape architect to be used in PBS’s This Old House.
In 2006 Steve became the third recipient of the ASLA Design Medal for his sustained body of exceptional design work. The American Horticultural Society awarded Steve the 2007 Landscape Design Award for his body of work that has expanded the awareness of horticulture in landscape architecture.
Phoenix native and resident, Steve studied art and architecture at Arizona State University. His project experience ranges from urban development and remote large-scale communities, to public art competitions and private gardens.
